Cali Parma

Well here she is, Cali Parma. She wanted to come sooner than the planned induction date as Emily started having contractions on Tuesday night and we went to the hospital at 4:00am on Wednesday. Emily was doing fine and contractions were about 2 mins apart and then around 2:15 pm baby Cali's heart rate dropped dramatically and the doctors decided to do an emergency c-section. After 10 minutes of extreme drama baby Cali was born and everything turned out fine. She weighs 7lbs.2oz., is 20.5 inches in length and she has what I consider a 'baby mullet', little hair in the front and more in the back.

Darling baby!!

Oh Emily, I'm sorry about the emergency c-section. The same thing happened w/ Eli - his heart rate dropped really low every time I had a contraction (he was facing up instead of down, so he must have been squished in a weird way), so I ended up w/ an emergency c-section too. It's all a little crazy in the moment and recovery isn't too fun. Hang in there and enjoy your new little one! You have two beautiful little girls!

She is so chubbalicious. She seems fairer than Bria, but they still look a lot alike.

Way to go, Em! I've done the emergency C, and it hurts at first, but I honestly think you'll bounce right back considering your traumatic birth experience last time.

Hooray for Cali!

Oh, she is so cute! I love the cheeks. They remind me of Leah's. I hope you are all doing well. Glad that the baby is doing well despite the crazy delivery. I'm sure it will take a while to recover but I know you can handle it. Congrats!!!

You guys did an amazing job!! She's beautiful! Congratulations. Enjoy kissing those adorable cheeks! Em - I had an emergency c with Elena, so I feel your pain (literally!) Please please email / call me if you need moral support :) :) It can be a bit of an adventure, but you are a rock star; you'll do great.
P.S. Cali is a precious name. It's so fun to see your gorgeous family get bigger and happier. I'm so glad you and baby Cali are happy and healthy.
